sen5241b June 22, 2012 June 22, 2012 I put a Sinularia next to a green mushroom and the mushroom melted into a slimey goo. Costly but I actually enjoyed watching this happen. Is there a website that can tell you what coral kills another or wins? In my experience: Green Star Polyps vs Green Brain (Favia) -- GPS wins Green Mushroom vs Sinularia -- Sinularia wins Yellow Zoas vs GPS -- Zoas win but the di not completely kill GPS ???
surf&turf June 23, 2012 June 23, 2012 Yellow zoa's win for a little, but GSP encrusts over them. GSP pretty much wins over most corals.
sen5241b June 24, 2012 Author June 24, 2012 Here is an older thread on the topic. fun read That is just what I was looking for. Very interesting. According to that thread green mushroom kills most other corals -except Sinularia as I have learned! BTW, my Sinularia has grown so big it may soon not fit on my tank. I'm fragging it then going to sell it.
hbh June 24, 2012 June 24, 2012 Piper, any chance you have a frag of blue star polyps that you would be willing to trade for something? Like bright green gsp? Any chance anyone knows what makes sinaria or pulsing denial die? I can't seem to grow it! I have nothing but gsp, a couple of mushrooms and rics.
GraffitiSpotCorals June 24, 2012 June 24, 2012 Not that I could pull out, there are just a couple polyps on big rocks in the main tank that I can't get out, if I could they would be yours! I am sure someone has some you can have, make a post for them.

If you meant Sinualria, I give it strong Mh light and good water quality beyond that I don't do anything special.
