Guest rmendis October 23, 2003 Share October 23, 2003 Thanks, guys. I'll contact you when the frags are ready. I may not have enough for everyone next week, but the stuff grows pretty fast, so if I don't contact you this time, I will let you know in a few months. -R

krish November 14, 2003 Share November 14, 2003 Rich, Is there a frag of the Xenia that i can get. I had 2 types of xenia, the pulsing and the non-pulsing types. A local reefer called me the other day asking for help with water test kit. I was told that something is wrong with the water and the xenia look bad . I was generous enough to offer my tank to hold the xenia till the water problem was fixed. Guess what, the reason for the crash was the placement of a piece of LR from MS. It apparently was not fully cured. After the xenia moved into my tank, 2 days later, my xenia are infected as well. Looks like a pathogen, most likely a protozoan that affects xenia. Hopefully, it does not hurt the other corals. But in case my tank gets/stays fine in the next few weeks, i would like a frag of the xenia, since they are excellent water quality indicators. -krish
traveller7 November 21, 2003 Share November 21, 2003 My xenia seem to tolerate any water conditions other then ammonia. Although, they do stop pulsing when the water flow and/or the pH drops.
