wvreef February 11, 2012 Share February 11, 2012 Ok here is the system 180 gallon reef ready with 55 sump running gfo in reactor, carbon in bag in high flow in sump, I have been dosing alk with the two part diy from on line.... tested my mag and it was low so I started dosing the mag for the 2 part, well my mag has gone from 900 down to not reading on the test kit from red sea. I have tested the kit with my other tank and it is ok, tested my fresh saltwater and it is 1100 cal-470 ph-7.9-8.01 nitrate-0 nitrite-0 pho-0 I have no idea what is causing my mag to drop in my system so any help please Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I read a post on RC where someone had that problem, they had really low mag in a big tank and they kept adding it and it wouldn't raise higher. Not sure how it turned out.
