steveoutlaw July 1, 2005 July 1, 2005 Ok, I want to paint the inside of my canopy white. Unfortunately the inside has been stained. Is there a paint I can use that won't peel off because of the oil based stain??
jwildman July 1, 2005 July 1, 2005 I would rough up the inside with sand paper then use a couple coats of primer. I like a brand called Killz .. most hardware stores carry it. J
ReeferJones July 2, 2005 July 2, 2005 if you want to get all fancy, you can use that marine paint they sell for boats, and whatnot. having had one canopy painted white, and one with regular stain, I can tell you the difference in light quality is non existant. Just make sure you have some good reflectors.
Guest D33rex July 3, 2005 July 3, 2005 You can also just layer it with aluminum foil.....it would actually be more reflective that white. If you decide to try it....you wanna crumple up the aluminum foil before you put it in there...it helps the shimmering effect very well...especially with halides
