Adding VHO supplements to MH

I've had 2 250w MH 10000k lights on my 120 since I've had it set up. The previous owner had them for a couple of years as well. I'm getting ready to add 2 110w VHO t12 actinic bulbs to the canopy. Now, my question is this:

 

Should I gradually add the VHO's to the lighting cycle (start with an hour and increase an hour each day) or can I just run them with the MH without worry of sending any of the corals into shock?

 

Any advice is appreciated.

You can run them without any adjustment period. They are mostly for color but do aid in the coral growth.
