Where can we get the Diamond Luminarc III

Recommended Posts

I know this has been discussed before - but since people were talking about them in the FS forum, I would like to know WHERE did you all get the Diamond Luminarc III reflectors??  I'm interested in the smaller ones.

It might even be worthwhile if someone were to trace the patten from one of these so we could get it cut out at a sheet metal shop, since from what I've heard the company that made them is out of business.

Thanks!

Jamie- you are really going to have to hunt around on your own- no major retailers..... as the company is defunct as far as I know and previously they were carried through horiculture places.  Maybe there were some left from where Gaitortail got ours from????

If you find any, let me know :) We ordered the last I could find last week, and several of our old suppliers have been out of them for months now. Anyone know of a good sheet metal fabricator? I have about 15 bids right now that quoted the Lumenarc3s, and I think I am about 50 short :(

hehe

I think we got the last from them, but may have more hidden under other stuff. There was another hydroponics store as well in Texas that had 2 of the larger ones a few months ago, but I think those are far gone as well. I asked before, but does anyone know any good patent lawyers? This may be something to look into. :)
You know, I just might know a patent lawyer.  Was my room mate in grad school, and then migrated up to Penn for law school.  Will have to see if I can track him down.  If I find his information, I will send it to you directly.
OK found out yesterday that my old room-mate actually lives down here now, specialized in patent law, and is working a clerkship for a federal judge.  Just give me a little time and I think he would be willing to investigate this FOC.  Do you have the patent #'s ?
Nope :( All of Diamond's old wholesalers only listed the lumenarcs as patent pending, but a few years ago I remember someone from Diamond telling me the Patents were approved. Will check around. Thanks

Hi all:

Do a search on RC for "Kengar" and e-mail him.  He's a local patent attorney that works downtown, and comes into our shop weekly.  HTH - staff
