OldReefer October 15, 2011 October 15, 2011 Justin, I was looking at this picture from zygote2k and thought that looked like something that could bolt on my old GSA CS2 pretty easily if Dan kept the same fastener layout on the cone flange. I am running 2 PSK1000s now, but I would love to have the control of a recirc skimmer. I am running my biopellets (in that mega reactor I bought from you) at 400 gph. That would be a great feed source. I would still run the skimmer in the sump. Any chance of a recirc package for the CS2?
ctenophore October 15, 2011 October 15, 2011 I'll pass this along to Dan to get his thoughts on the base. I can't remember if the cone/base of the GSA cs2 is the same as the avast cs1.
OldReefer October 16, 2011 Author October 16, 2011 I've got plenty of room in the sump if the bottom if a Black Pearl would fit. Thanks for remembering the little people that knew you before you were rich and famous.
dandy7200 October 16, 2011 October 16, 2011 Bill, The flanges for the cone are not the same between the GS2 and the CS1. I don't think the GS2 neck/body size could handle the additional air of two psk1000's. We are designing a larger cone skimmer that can handle 2 psk1000 in recirc mode and it will be about 50% larger than the GS2.
OldReefer October 16, 2011 Author October 16, 2011 Great Dan. I'll wait for the new cone. I don't need it but I am sure I will have to have it. I hope the move out west went well.
