sns26 September 22, 2011 Share September 22, 2011 Hi guys-- I'm a freshwater planted tank enthusiast, so please excuse my intrusion. I've just built a DIY LED fixture and tank stand (pictures here) and I am trying to get a sense of my light output so I can dial in my dimmers correctly. Do any of you have a PAR meter I could rent/borrow for a couple of days? I live in northwest DC but would make a trip for this. Thanks.
zygote2k September 23, 2011 Share September 23, 2011 very nice light fixture. How much would you charge to build a wood surround for my DIY led light?
Reefs September 23, 2011 Share September 23, 2011 Hi this is shrimpo @ the planted tank, nice DIY you made there, sorry I don't have a PAR meter but there is section in this board for WAMAS members that enable you to borrow it as well as sale/trade frags and equipments, I highly recommend to sing up for WAMAS membership. Good luck to you
sns26 September 26, 2011 Author Share September 26, 2011 very nice light fixture. How much would you charge to build a wood surround for my DIY led light? This was a labor of love, and I'm all out of love at this point. Woodworking is not that hard if you take your time. Give it a shot and you'll be surprised how nicely things can turn out. If you don't have the tools or the know-how, check out the Woodworkers Club in Rockville. They have a great shop that you can use (for a fee) and teach classes in fine woodworking. I do all my work at their shop.
