As much as I like this pressure switch, it has a major problem: the air tube pulls off the switch too easy. I was moving around electric wires, and it came off. Thank God I noticed it after a couple of hours. I am not sure what can be done about it, but it is a problem.

I've had this happen on a few older ones. Two things to check:

1) is the pressure sensor stem centered in the hole in the box? Sometimes they get glued off center by a millimeter or so, and/or a bit of glue beads up around the stem. This causes the tube to not push on all the way and can lead to a loose connection. If this is the case, let me know and I will replace the sensor box for you.

2) If the tube is removed after being in place for a long time, it stretches out and when replaced, may not have as tight as grip when reconnected the 2nd, 3rd, etc time. Solution here is to just cut 1/4" off the end of the tube and reinstall. I've found that a "fresh" end of tube, cut square, is actually really hard to pull off the stem when seated all the way into the hole in the plug box.

Let me know if either of these suggestions help you.

Hi All!

Our pressure-sensing level switch used in our Davy Jones Skimmate Locker has a great dual role: auto top-off controller! It's magnet-mounted, so installation anywhere in your sump is a snap (literally; watch your fingers as the magnet will hold through 3/4" glass!) Snails can't crawl on it and cause a false signal, and calcium can't build up on it and cause it to stick like magnetic floats. No moving parts means less chance of failure.

I noticed the magnet mount in the image above is a lot smaller than the one that was sent me with the ATO controller. My question to Justin.... can you send me the smaller mount? You had just sent me the kit this week and the magnet mount in it has two other holes on either side of the pres tube to (I guess) hold tubing or whatever. Thanks.
