quazi March 9, 2005 Share March 9, 2005 Go ahead and buy an icecap ballist (~ $150 new, lots available used. Also look for URI ballists, they are the same thing.) They will over drive your NOs. And when you are ready to invest in new bulbs, you can upgrade to VHOs. You might be OK with mushrooms, and a few softies. BUt you will be happier with more light just for the look of the tank.
