paul b January 31, 2010 Author Share January 31, 2010 (edited) No, if that were the case, I would be overrun with them in my 39 year old tank as I have been doing this for decades. I know that is the rumor but like most things in this hobby we don't know where that came from or if it is true. I kind of like a few of them as long as they remain a few. After all, they are anemones which are a normal part of the sea, we just choose to kill them because we like other stuff better. Years ago we actually tried to keep these things alive and paid more for rocks with mojanos on them. Yes I know, wierd. Today, being so many people (on different forums) are questioning this practice, I smoked about 25 of them. I will see if in a month, they are all over the place or if they seem to have disappeared. Maybe in my tank the ozone kills the spores, I really don't know. I am coming to your winter meeting in a few weeks, I will let you know what happened. Of course, you may have to remind me.
