crab + frogspawn..... effect on clowns?

When I was feeding my clowns some pellets, a hermit crab was picking around in some frogspawn. Next thing I know, several bits of frogspawn came loose and the clowns thought they were pieces of food. Both clowns attempted to eat the bits of frogspawn a couple of times - they spit the pieces out, but I'm worried about the fish having sores in their mouths or suffer some other ill effect.

I wouldn't worry about it, they are pretty tough. They're like babies, they will put everything that will fit into their mouths in order to figure out what it is.
