Guest hk132 January 28, 2004 January 28, 2004 What do you all use for lighting timers? I've gotten a new lighting unit that has four seperate plugs for: o each of three lights o the cooling fan I'd like to have all of these going on at a staggered time so a 1 plug timer would not be appropriate. Is my best bet just to buy several 1 unit digital timers, or is there a nice multi-unit? I know they sell some execellent timers for automated sprinkler systems, but if memory serves, these only work with DC and a specific voltage.
Armson January 28, 2004 January 28, 2004 This is the best thing I have seen, It's not so expensive either but I have not seen any other place besides here and I am not even sure if they carry it anymore. http://www.premiumaquatics.com/thestore/prods/GRASSLIN.html B
Guest hk132 February 6, 2004 February 6, 2004 I ended up just getting several one outlet timers and hooking them up. Definitely not as elegant as what I'd hoped for. I'm really amazed that this product doesn't exist for AC -- I know there are some very inexpensive and hi-tech models for lawn sprinkler systems, but those only work with DC current I think.
mogurnda February 6, 2004 February 6, 2004 I've found them for hydroponics. Expensive (~$300) and only for 240V so far. Not sure why.
