WHAT'S NEW

A huge shipment of almost 100 corals just came in and they are priced to

move.  Some of the more impressive pieces include neon green Open Brain

corals, a few nice Plate corals, neon green Spaghetti Leathers and

several Mushrooms and Polyps.  More new arrivals include large Halloween

and Electric Blue Hermit crabs.  Also check out our colorful clams

(Croceas and Maximas).  Green Linkia Starfish are back in stock, these

hardy Linkias make a great addition to any reef.

WHAT'S ON SALE

This weekend the Tapwater Purifier Deionizer unit and it's refill

cartridge are 15% off.  If you missed it last week Tonga rock is back on

sale, this time it is 25% off that makes it $5.00 per pound!   What a

deal.

DID YOU KNOW

Did you know that it is essential to have good water circulation in your

aquarium?  Water flow is not only an important factor for many corals it

also helps to oxygenate the water and keep slime algae at bay.  The most

important role water flow plays is to drive the biological filtration in

the tank.  Live rock can not filter the water if the water is not

flowing through it!  A good rule of thumb for water flow is to turn over

the entire volume of your tank 10 to 15 times per hour.  So, for

example, if you have a 100 gallon tank, the total flow in the tank

should equal 1,000 to 1,500 gallons per hour.  Do you know how much flow

you have in your tank?
