Gatortailale October 15, 2004 Share October 15, 2004 Greetings to all, The Marine Scene is constantly putting revenue back into the shop to upgrade with new technology. For instance, we now have a new point of sale program that is more detailed and prints faster receipts. We hope our efforts will make The Marine Scene a more efficient and overall more enjoyable store to shop at. Again we appreciate all of your support. WHAT'S NEW A shipment of 55 corals arrived Thursday night along with a fresh batch of Tonga Ridge live rock. An exciting drop-off from a tank break-down brought us cured live rock, extra large pieces of bright Green Star Polyps and Peach Briarium. The drop off also included some interesting fish like the large Yellow Coris Wrasse, the extra large Sohal Tang and two mated pair of Clownfish (Tomato and False Percula). A few other new items of interest are a cute Midas Blenny in quarantine, a few impressive feather dusters and Caulerpa prolifera, a macroalgae making it's debut here at The Marine Scene. WHAT'S ON SALE This weekend all SPS corals are 10% off, this category includes some very nice pieces of Montipora, Hydnophora and Acropora. (Sale excludes Nano corals.) A "Safety Sale" is also in effect this weekend, see below for details. DID YOU KNOW? Did you know that the equipment in your aquarium can produce stray currents that stress out your fish and can potentially shock you and your animals? Grounding probes will eliminate this problem. This weekend we are having a safety sale. Grounding probes, GFI outlet adapters, Aqua Gloves, Ammonia Alerts, digital temperature alerts, and Screamer flood and leak protectors are all 10% off. Remember, in this hobby it is truly better to be safe than sorry. Hope to see you soon. Have a great Weekend! -Kristen Lau The Marine Scene Assistant Manager (703) 689-2815 www.marinescen.com
