A quick note on the super blue acros...

At this time we will be holding the larger piece which we cut into two columns and a few small 1"< frags due to recession in a customers tank. We sold this piece outside of our normal QT procedures (this is very rare!) for the client was very, very interested in the colony. We normally hold all new arrivals for a period of 3-6 weeks depending on our supplier prior to client delivery in order to decrease ship/acclimation stress, allow for full polyp re-extension, and give the coral a chance to slow and resume zoanthellae production (color morphing). This was from one of our more stable shippers, and out of that order only 1 of 28 was DOA/DND. In the unlikely event that we have to cut frags...we then allow the coral to go through the three stages above, and allow it to start to re-encrust the mount. This may seem like a lot of work on our end (which it is) but this allows us to have one of the lowest mortality rates in the industry. Just getting back from MACNA, we had 1 DOA in Boston, and 1 DOA on the way home~even without 02 in the bag :)

The reason for this post is for the 2 dozen plus emails I have had for that piece over the past two weeks :) Don't worry we will let everyone know when they go up for sale, and when new arrivals come in. Thanks, Rich
