Gatortailale June 25, 2004 Share June 25, 2004 Hello Hobbyists! Now that the 75 gallon display is on it's way to being established we are going to renovate the big 150 display in the front of the store next. Keep your eyes open next week for breakdown sales on the equipment and the corals! Just an early reminder that we will be closed Sunday, July fourth in recognition of Independence Day. WHAT'S NEW CORALS!CORALS!CORALS! Our new Show Coral tank is up and running. We received 77 new corals on Thursday to help fill it up. Come see our colorful Acroporas, extra large Pearl Corals, small Bubble Corals, Red and Yellow Sea Fingers, Green Hairy Mushrooms and so much more. For those of you looking for cured rock we have over 200 lbs! This rock looks very nice with all of it's purple coralline algae coverage. Captive bred fish arrived this week which means we have plenty of Neon Gobies, Clownfish and a couple of Purple Dottybacks. WHAT'S ON SALE All Pagoda Corals are 20% off this weekend. Tahitian Black Moon sand is 10% off. We have a new variety of corals on our $25.00 sale rack. There is also another rack of corals available for only $28.99. Also this weekend, get 10% off any fish food with the purchase of any fish. And... our last two Eco-Spheres are 50% off. DID YOU KNOW Did you know there are plenty of corals available that are good choices for beginners? Some of these corals don't even require intense lighting. Mushrooms and Zoanthid Polyps are very hardy and colorful corals that do well in most marine lighting conditions. Also good options for a beginning "reefer" are Star Polyps, Colt Corals, Xenia, Toadstools and even some hard corals like Trumpets, and Brain corals. If you are thinking about venturing into the world of reef-keeping consider these corals first and you will probably have a good chance of success. Don't let coral keeping intimidate you, in many cases they are easier to keep than the fish! Have a great weekend and don't forget to come in and see our new coral selection, I think you will be impressed! See you soon. -Kristen Lau Assistant Manager The Marine Scene 293 Sunset Park Dr. Herndon, VA 20170 (703)689-2815 www.marinescene.com
