Flow Chart

While working on a few additions I kept wondering the max flow I can put through different size PVC pipes. I happened to find this chart and I thought that it might be helpful to others.

Nice chart, but "average pressure" doesn't apply to us aquarists. Very few pumps we use can even approach 20 PSI. A chart showing flowrates at 2, 5 and 10 PSI would be more appropriate for our hobby. Thanks for posting though Boret!

Thanks ctenophore that is a very good point.

 

I am also adding this image to the thread, it might also help people finding out tank dimensions and weight.

I know... it is very basic, but sometimes is good to know.

Let me also add that the weight is not taking into account rock and sand.
