Boret June 30, 2009 June 30, 2009 While working on a few additions I kept wondering the max flow I can put through different size PVC pipes. I happened to find this chart and I thought that it might be helpful to others.
ctenophore July 1, 2009 July 1, 2009 Nice chart, but "average pressure" doesn't apply to us aquarists. Very few pumps we use can even approach 20 PSI. A chart showing flowrates at 2, 5 and 10 PSI would be more appropriate for our hobby. Thanks for posting though Boret!
Boret July 2, 2009 Author July 2, 2009 (edited) Thanks ctenophore that is a very good point. I am also adding this image to the thread, it might also help people finding out tank dimensions and weight. I know... it is very basic, but sometimes is good to know. Edited July 2, 2009 by Boret
Boret July 2, 2009 Author July 2, 2009 Let me also add that the weight is not taking into account rock and sand.
