Did You Know?

Did you know that aiptasia (aka. glass anemone) is a nuisance anemone that rapidly reproduces and can sting, even kill your corals? Aiptasia is a persistent critter because when you try to scrape it off your rocks or glass you actually end up spreading it. There are a few natural ways of controlling this nuisance anemone. Peppermint Shrimp, Berghia Nudibranchs and most Butterflyfish can and will eat them yet sometimes it is easier and faster to just zap it yourself. Using a needle like applicator and the treatment Joe's Juice or Aiptasia-X you can target and kill each one. It can take a little time to get each one but it is better to start getting rid of them as soon as they show up or you will eventually have an infestation which can be almost impossible to control. Do you have any Aiptasia in your tank?
