sponge propagation

I thought I 'd share this with the group.  Last summer while in Houston, I ripped some sponge out of a friends tank and brought it back.  It is a neat sponge, with a lot of fronds that make it look almost like an LPS or anenome.  I had never tried fragging sponge before, nor had my friend.  I put it into my refugium, wedged between some rock and the sidewall.  It has been growing steadlily now.  Seems to be doing the best in areas of steady current.  Green water really seems to boost growth as well.  It took some time for it to start to encrust- much slower than corals.  I kept the sponge in a baggie of water for transport- and aclimated as usual- nothing special there.  FWIW-
