Any updates on the cycle, and or what your dosing right now with the Brightwell products?

How do you like the Aquactinics fixture? I'm getting the Solar Flare fixture this weekend.

i really like it..low heat output and it was getting the job done for my sps' given they were up mid to high up on the rocks..

the tank is now cycled and it didn't take any time at all thanks to MicroBacter..i've since added a yellow tang and a school of blue/green chromis..I also added the rest of the zeolite media and dosing BioFuel twice a week and MB once a week..the diatoms are slowly starting to disappear..

How is the closed loop working for you? A Dart typically isn't a great choice to push eductors, so I am curious as to how your setup is working.

If it's not too late, raise your sump ever so slightly on little feet, maybe a few poker chips or something. If water gets between that acrylic and the wood, you will ruin the floor. Honestly you will probably be re-flooring that section when you move the tank anyway. But if you can get a shop vac nozzle to suck up any water you spill (and spill you will), you might reduce some of the damage.

Otherwise it looks like you're off to a good start!

Acrylic tanks and sumps need full support on the bottom. A better idea would be to build a short shelf with a solid top for the sump.

i think its working pretty well..i would say that the flow is moderate all throughout the tank..

i am definitely worried about the flooring under the sump..there has already been a few spills and i try to wipe it up as good as i can but i'm sure once this tank is moved i will find out that the spills have won..good thing i have a few extra boxes of laminate just in case...
