I finally got to look at my 2 tanks last night with full lights.  After the halides went off I then saw what just the actinics look like.  WOW!  I haven't ever seen these corals under actinics before, and the glow was truelly a pleasure.  I noticed a huge difference in the color of the 2 tanks though.  the 25 has a 28W Custon Sea Life power quad 7100K actinic on it.  The other has a pfo 2x55W with "true actinic" bulbs from hellolights.  The CSL bulb is nice and blue, the others though are almost purple.  I prefer the blue one.  Are there any 55W bulbs like this though?  I will take some pics this weekend.  The difference is real obvious, though both give the effect of "groovy glowing corals"

Oh yeah, As will be seen after I take some pics, this tank is almost at capacity!  Will spend the weekend strategically mounting the corals that need it.  Still lots of room for frags, but I want to leave some grow out room this time!  While I doubled the size of the tank, it looks well stocked already.  Even with having the anenomes in another tanks along with some of the other corals.  I look at it and wonder how it ever all fit in the 30, though the answer to that is quite simple- it did at the expence of the corals (some definate woundage on some from competition/aggression).

In answer to your question. CSL does make a 55W actinic bulb.

Hello calls theirs "true actinic 03" and CSL is either called actinic or 7100 blue bulbs.

The CSL is easier on the eye, but the true actinic imo did make some corals stand out and glow under the lighting.

Glad the 55 pc ballast is working for you

I think I agree with you- I will move a coral between the 2 tonight for a comparison.  Different animals in eash so don't have an immediate reference.  They were really glowing under the hellolights bulbs, but yes the csl is nicer on the eyes and the fish look better under it....  Naturally I'm not going to change anything till these bulbs run their life.....

Thanks again for the rig, it's working SuhhhWEEEEET!
