Moding an Outer Orbit HQI / T5

I have a 24" Outer Orbit HQI / T5 over a 30 gallon reef. First off, I freaking *love* this light. Only problem I have with it is th fan only comes on with the HQI bulb. This makes the T5 bulbs run hot and probably the ballasts too, but I can't reach them. So being the person I am, I want to move the fan's electrical feed to the T5 switch. I haven't pulled the light apart yet, but if the switches are done up like the other lights I've seen, it should be a fairly easy mod. Also, after looking into the holes I'm considering adding a dust filter from an old PC and switching the fan from 'suck' to 'blow'.

 

Has anyone done anything like this with their light?
