albatross666 July 18, 2008 Share July 18, 2008 Hi I had a skimmer for my Aquapod 24, it was the Current skimmer. I never got it to work, so i started using resin pads "Poly Filters" http://www.drsfostersmith.com/Product/Prod...cfm?pcatid=4335 They work, but when I pull them out, a lot of gunk falls back in! So, are members here using skimmers on nano tanks with success? I have the factory hood. Any other ideas/brand recommendation for skimming? Thanks
Brian Ward July 18, 2008 Share July 18, 2008 For a nano skimmer - basically a HOB skimmer - the Deltec MCE line is the only one I've ever heard of working.

Thanks Not sure of the amount of room you have but I know some folks on RC also suggest the TUNZE nano 9002. A little cheaper than the Deltec. I dont have a Aquapod so I cannot tell you if it will fit. Hope that helps. Ron

multihobbyguy July 18, 2008 Share July 18, 2008 I use a TUNZE nano 9002. I have it installed right behind the overflow. I have the halide so I don't have a top to contend with.
