Toronto zoo

I recently visited the Toronto Zoo. They didn't have anything to speak of as far as Marine tanks...but the kids really enjoy the Stingray exhibit. I was more facinated with the room behind the curtain.

Some specs that I gathered from the teenagers working the exhibit:

16000 gallon display

900 gallon daily water change

1 ten foot skimmer

5 large filters - I presume with sand or something in them??

5 smaller media (phosphate or other) filters

1 very large chiller

Ozone of some sort

I didn't see an RO/DI system, but saw gallons of PRIME

2, 1000 gallon water change tanks

And many boxes of IO Salt

For your viewing pleasure:

Yes - That's the UV...but the person that allowed me to go behind the scenes couldn't tell me any of the speicifics...like the total wattage of the UV.
