Guest satellite62 February 3, 2008 Share February 3, 2008 I bought two Sure Flow 1600 Maxi-jet upgrade kits at BRK at about $22 each. They make my 295 gph Maxi 1200's push 1600 gph over a greater area of the tank. I am now using 2 modified Maxi's vice the four non mods that I had in my 75g. I have these two maxi's on a Natural Wave timer so they are alternating water direction. The mod's slots are rather large and unfortunately one of my peppermints was sucked through. It came out whole but went behind the LR and I could not see if it was damaged. Yesterday, one of my clowns died and I suspect that it had been near the pump and was sucked through when it cycled on. Although there were no apparent wounds on the clown. Has anybody tried putting some screen over the slots and did it reduce the water flow?
