Gatortailale February 6, 2003 February 6, 2003 Hydnophora sending out sweeper of some sort to try to sting my gorgonian. It did the same thing about 2 months ago and nuked the base of my orange montipora. michaelg February 6, 2003 February 6, 2003 That looks exactly like what I have seen from mine- fortunately, he tried to do it to the heliopora (blue ridge coral), and it had zero affect on it. When I have seen it on several occassions, it has looked like it puts them out from the underside of the coral. Your photo is a great example of how deliberate those sweepers are- they wrap up the victim in a web of toxin. Michael
