Adorama has Refurbished Nikon D50 bodies for $399.95. Personally I much prefer the D40 and would get that, with lens, for $100 more brand new, but if you're as cheap as I am and want autofocus with older AF lenses, go for it. Anytime I've bought factory refurbs they've been fine

 

Adorama is where I got my D70s as a Nikon factory refurbished for $525 and then I also got a 2yr MACK camera warranty for about $35. I've taken over 3,000 photos with 0 problems. Adorama called to confirm I ordered the camera, verifed shipping info. and CC# used. Cool that they take the time to make sure order was not placed by someone with your info.
