Great Pacific Vortex

The following was sent to me by a friend who works for the EPA. It's interesting reading;

Dear friends,

 

In case you aren't aware, there's a vortex called the Great Pacific

Garbage Patch that is affecting the entire food web. Here is a snapshot

of the global catastrophe emerging thanks to all the ocean garbarge.

There is a really moving website with first hand accounts and

photographs that are very alarming and disturbing. This kind of stuff

makes me weep for my kid's future. It affects every living thing on

Earth.

human footprint we are leaving on this planet. We may still be able to

do something about it.
