Nat'nCritters April 14, 2007 Share April 14, 2007 Both of our cleaner shrimp have eggs they are fanning under their bellies! We are so excited! However, what can we do, if anything, to ensure their survival, since we have a mandarin and a butterfly who will no doubt eat them. Should we isolate the shrimps in a QT? Please help! Thanks! traveller7 April 14, 2007 Share April 14, 2007 Be happy with the free fish snacks, raising shrimp will require quite a bit of specialization. Here is a good on topic read: http://www.advancedaquarist.com/issues/april2004/feature.htm
trble81 April 14, 2007 Share April 14, 2007 You can QT the mother-to-be and when the eggs are silver in color, they'll be close to hatching. When they do, the mama will molt and should be removed (and supplimented with iodine). I so totally read this today in Reef Invertebrates by Calfo...
