reelsteel November 1, 2004 Share November 1, 2004 I fragged my green branching frogspawn a month ago(had like 50 heads on it). One of the frags(4 headed piece) was doing fine until last 3 days ago, when one of the heads started to look bad and by the next day it was gone and replaced with a red jelly looking slime. I just thought that the head rotted and left it in there cause the the other 3 heads looked good. Sunday the frag looked good but still had the red slime on it. This morning when I woke up I saw that the red slime had covered the other 3 heads and they were all shrunk up. I took the frag out and tried to clean off the slime but it wouldn't come off. I scooped the sand out where the frag was to try and get all the slime. Does anyone know what it is or is that what happens when frogspawn dies? michaelg November 1, 2004 Share November 1, 2004 Do a search for "brown jelly" in the coral forum at reefcentral. There are treatments for it. I believe it is bacterial and not uncommon in euphyllias.
