quazi August 30, 2004 Share August 30, 2004 Skip the hermits. You have been warned by many. Skip the scallops. They will not live in a new setup, much less an old one. Has anyone keep them alive for more than 3 months? Forget the mandarin. Your tank needs to establish more. The CBB is not recommended. Some people do OK with them. If you have lots of aptesia, then go for it. They are tough to keep. But beautiful. How about a longnose butterfly instead? Sounds like you are taking this slow and steady. Good for you! Good luck! Just remember: the one thing history teaches us is that no one learns from history.
Guest clownfish4 August 30, 2004 Share August 30, 2004 I will be waiting awhile before getting the mandarin and plan on trying a scallop after a year or so. I am also going to try the CBB, even though I have been told it is very difficult. As for the hermits, I have had success with them and know lots of people who have success with them. I have not been warned by "many." But I am still undecided.
