Guest Bemmer August 25, 2004 August 25, 2004 Has anyone come across any dark grey PVC piping and fittings while at their local hardware/plumbing store? Major plumbing project in the works and I am trying to find some so I don't have to purchase it online. TIA
Lee Stearns August 25, 2004 August 25, 2004 There is grey PVC usually found in the elec section of the hardware store- any particular reason grey over nomal plumbing pvc?
Guest HVF21221 August 25, 2004 August 25, 2004 Don't use gray pvc conduit from the electrical section. It is not designed for plumbing use. Go to the plumbing section. White is schedule 40 pvc and gray(which is what I think you are talking about) is schedule 80 (heavy duty). Sched. 80 cost is alot more and not really neccessary but I assume you don't want to see the white pvc. I beleive you can mix the two to save money.
Guest Bemmer August 26, 2004 August 26, 2004 That's it exactly, I don't want to see the white PVC from the inside of my tank. I have thought of mixing the white and the gray to save some money. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
