Volunteer help needed - fall club events

Hi All,

 

WAMAS is run 100% by volunteers.  We are a registered non-profit, & none of the officers are paid.  We are in need of help for several events this fall to help make club events successful.  If you can help out at one or more of these events, or with the other tasks listed please reply, reach out to me or any of the officers via a  DM, or send an email to officers@wamas.org and let us know where you have time to help.

 

* Webmaster - assist with updates to main website pages

 

Fall meeting - Oct. 5

* need 1-2 volunteers to assist with helping run checking in members & guests at welcome desk;

* setup & tear down

* volunteers arrive at 12:30 for setup - stay until 5:00 pm for cleanup

Reefing USA coral Show - Oct. 20 (Tysons Marriott)

* 2-3 volunteers to help sell admission at the door and hand out welcome bag;

* 2-5 additional volunteers to help sell raffle tickets, watch over raffle table, and represent the club;

* arrive by 10:00 to help with setup; can be done around 2:00 (after wamas raffle) (separate show free door prize drawing at 1:00)

WAMAS Holiday Party - Dec. 14  (Noon - 3:00)

* volunteers needed to help with party planning group;

* volunteers needed to lead organization of pot-luck;

* decoration team;

* setup & tear down;

* volunteers needed to help with touch tank

- setup would start at 11:00 am - main event would be around noon. Need to finish cleanup by 4:00 pm

- planning help - participate in some zoom calls and help organize pot-luck and other event things.

Still need more help - especially for the Reefing USA Coral Show.  If you can help out you can get early access to the coral vendors and pick some livestock before the doors open as a thank you for your help.

 

Some of the know coral vendors at Reefing USA show - full list should be coming out soon.  Lot of out of state/region coral vendors.
