Mbheat77 December 3, 2022 Share December 3, 2022 Hey I have a question. I have a lyretail anthias that I got from my buddy. For like a month it was doing great swimming and socializing. Now all of a sudden it is just hiding under some rock. It moves from 2 spots. It is still living but does not come out anymore. Tested my water and it's fine. I did have high nitrates so I did a water change. The next day after my foxface died. But other than that nothing has changed. Just in hiding all the time now. Any body ever went through this. Salty Rambler December 3, 2022 Share December 3, 2022 Sorry to hear about your foxface and lyretail. High nitrates can be harmful, sometimes fatal, for fish, especially if it is a sudden spike. After the water change, are your nitrates still high? If so, you may want to focus on bringing them down to safe levels.
