  1. remember when all those 1st generation $texas lightining maroon clownfish came out (up to $5k for individual specimens) and some of us loved them, others hated, and some folks just didn't care. welll... if you haven't heard about the great work soren and his team are doing at sea & reef, read below, and now you know! sea & reef is finally releasing the 2nd generation maroon clownfish! the sales blurb from s&r: The Lightning Maroon Clownfish are looking absolutely gorgeous. It is really a treat to see how their pattern develops. When they first go through metamorphose their white pattern look like a snowflake pattern and is almost completely white. Then as they grow small pinprick holes develop in the white and these pinprick holes expand and become a lace pattern. The fish we are releasing are approximately 4 month old and we expect that their pattern will continue to develop. the best part is that while supply lasts, there is a WYSIWYG section where you can see a bunch of these interesting looking guys and pick up exactly the one you want through your favorite coral and fish vendor, ERC!! http://www.seaandreef.com/what-you-see-is-what-you-get so... if interested in picking up one of these guys, act fast! you will want to simply let me know via PM the WYSIWYG number associated with the photo posted in the WYSIWYG section linked above or if you don't care which one you get and want better pricing, let me know that, and i'll order accordingly to give you guys a ball park, suggested pricing is up to $700 per clownfish. still a lot more expensive than most "designer" clownfish but much cheaper than previously for the first generation and truly a very unique fish. - all fish received can be held for a customer. - all fish received will be put the same quarantine and treatment protocol as described here: http://wamas.org/forums/topic/67727-you-scream-i-scream-we-all-scream-for-quarantine - all fish will come with a 7-day guarantee as with any fish and coral from ERC for those unfamiliar with this offering or the history of this clownfish, here are some great links that were provided to us: Reef2Rainforest expanded online story about Sea & Reef’s 2’nd generation Lightning Maroon Clownfish: http://www.reef2rainforest.com/2014/06/24/lightning-maroon-updates Reef Builders story: http://reefbuilders.com/2014/08/30/sea-reef-aquaculture-release-captive-bred-lightning-maroons AquaNerd story: http://blog.aquanerd.com/2014/08/sea-reef-aquaculture-captive-bred-lighting-maroon-clownfish.html Matt Pedersen Blog about breeding the original Lightning Maroon Clownfish http://www.lightning-maroon-clownfish.com
