I'm using the vertex libra short vessels. Beautiful construction and they look amazing.

Love the scoly's. They are awesome. You should check out some Indo Scoly's (aka: Acanthophyllia deshayesiana). I had one a while back, and regret getting rid of it: http://reefbuilders.com/2009/06/04/acanthophyllia-deshayesiana-indo-pacific-scolymia-officially-recognized/ 20121208_131426 by mteske1, on Flickr
Hey! I bought that scold from you and I sold it to someone on WAMAS. I regret selling it too. :(

Wish I could of participated! I had to work today. :(

What are you gonna do for lighting?
-
Nope. It appears to be a problem with the outlet itself, and not a software issue. Was hoping this might kick it on, but it didn't.
Neptune has offered to fix it free of charge. I just lose the EB8 for a few days, and pay for shipping to Neptune. They'll pay for shipping for the return.
Hope they can get your be-8 back quickly. I'm thinking about buying another just to have in case something like that happens.

I tried updating over wifi with the apex plugged into a small airport express which is being used to extend my network. This didn't work. So I tried plugging the apex directly to the AirPort Extreme and it worked flawlessly. Thanks for the tip. I think the key here is to connect the apex directly to your main router, and then you can still update over wifi.
Awesome! I forgot to mention that mine is connected directly to my router. Glad it worked for you.

Just have a vortexes battery backup hooked to MP-10s on the nano and main tank.

Well this stinks. I don't own a computer that has an ethernet port. It won't let me update the firmware via a wireless connection. Nice.
I just did the update over wifi. Worked perfectly and faster than using Ethernet. I just upgraded to the new MBP retina and the new Airport Extreme. Wifi update was a breeze. I guess they don't recommend it because it can become an issue for people without a reliable wireless connect or crappy router. You should just give it a go if you have a decent router. Hope this helps.

Sorry to hear bro. Hope all is well.

2 boxes of IO. Thanks!

I thought about it. I think the 2 mp10's will be moving so much water that there won't be any surface scum. We will see
I doubt it with their positions in the tank. Without an overflow box it is almost impossible to completely eliminate surface scum. I think this would work great and you could hide it in the black area to the left of the higher mp-10. Just my thoughts. :-)

You should add one of these to keep the surface clean.

Looking good bro! Can't wait to see it in person!

Nice! glad you went with the rimless. I wish mine was rimless. I shouldn't complain though. My tank and stand was free. LOL
-
Looking forward to this. I just setup a similar tank (Mr. Aqua 18x18x18 Low-iron).
-
thanks Chris I will stick with the stock ones then.
Do you have a build thread on your tank? I have seen pics, but haven't seen much info on your setup.
No nit really. I started one on R2R but haven't been updating it.

I unwrapped the tank yesterday to inspect it, and found the bulkheads that come with it look pretty cheap. Are they reliable, or should I order better ones from somewhere else?
I have the exact tank you have. i'm using the included bulkheads and they work fine for me. No issues at all.

I use it religiously. But I also have a pretty high fish load and feed a lot so gfo and weekly water changes are a must. Lol

LOL!!! I need some more gift cards!!!!
Red Dragon 1500 Pump Replacement
in General Discussion
Is it the motor block or impeller. I think premium sells the motor block for $250.
