blue xenia is really pretty and what I have "heard" from others is that it doesn't grow as fast as the more common xenia. I have no experience with it, it's just what I heard.

they ate a bunch of my healthy zoa's until I found out it was them. I removed them and my zoa's have made a come back thank goodness.

No kidding right. I remember a few years ago I saw a picture of some guys tank and he had 10 large Gem Tangs in it. I don't remember where I saw it but he was boasting about the price he paid for them. They were very pretty. I just can't spend that much money on a fish. I would have to stuff it and mount it when it died or something to justify that cost.

I was just there. They have 1 Gem Tang left for 1900.00.
They got 3 in total. A gentleman from LA flew here to buy them and save 400.00 a fish. He got the 2 of the 3 yesterday.
It was very pretty and was eating very well when I was there at 5:30.
A little pricey for me, but a very nice fish.

I am confused, if he was not "bashing" the Herndon store for not reopening after they had been closed, then what was he doing?

I sadly won't make it either. My dog is having surgery tomorrow on her leg.
:(

I think that is awesome that BRK did that. Not many establishments will open when they are closed to help a customer, in my opinion that doesn't make them a bad store.

just a little curious, how did the red bugs and nudi's and such end up in our tanks if not from the wild caught colonies?
Those critters had to have come from somewhere to begin with.

I love my auto topoff from top-off.com. They were very easy to install and nicely priced.

Wow Troy, you did have an eventful evening. I am glad you made it home safe and that your corals/fish were okay.
I am so sorry I missed that Social. I really wanted to go but after being gone from home for 12 days I needed to stay and love on my dogs some and I had a pump die in my 24 gal AquaPod and that was a mess I had to clean up. I didn't loose any of the corals but it was ugly.
I will make the next one.

Yeah, I think NE DC is much worse in some areas. I walk dogs there and in 1 week between the hours of 11 am and 4 pm there were 3 shootings within a 4 block radius. Not fun!!

I have had several of the urchins in my tanks and while they do eat the coraline on the wall they also clean the rocks!!

Wow, that looks nice Jenny. I'm going to have to come over and check it out in person.

I don't have an answer for you but that looks awesome!! It took me a couple looks to actually see the fish.

yes, please, please use the guards. My mom about took off 3 fingers on her hand when she used a table saw that someone had removed the gaurd from. She thought no biggie just a quick zip through the wood and be done with it and it probably would have been fine if there wasn't a knot in that piece of wood.
I am glad your hubby is okay and thanks for the reminder.

I think it sounds cool. What better cause than reef conservation. I joined and as soon as I have something to auction I will.

Well really it doesn't matter, someone will be able to figure it out when you get back, it's sweet and a great find!! Congrats!!

Nice Chris, very nice. Are you sure the first one is an acan? It almost looks like micro's as well.
Whatever it is, it sure is sweet. I would love to get on the fraglist for those as well.
