What/where is Mr. Coral?

I'm putting a closed loop on my 90 (50px-x pan world pump) which has 1" input and output. Is a single 1" return OK or should I split it for 2 returns. I was thinking a single 1" might have to much suction for passing fish, etc?

I'm a HUGE Charlie Brown fan. Actually not. I was new to the hobby and just looking for a short name that included 'reef' without making drug references

Is there any way to get 180 degree coverage with a 1" sea swirl. You can get 1/2" and 3/4" loc-line 'Y' fittings but nothing for the 1". There are 1" 'wye' fittings but thats the closest I've been able to find.

Looking to add a closed loop to my 90g. It will be returning via a 3/4 or 1" sea swirl and need it to be external. Any thought on what pump I should use. I was looking at the ocean runner 3500 but wasn't sure about the heat issue. Any input would be greatly appreciated

Someone posted a link to a good deal on the 'DJ' type power strips (each outlet has a switch) a while back but I can't find it now. Any ideas. thanks

It's a company called Seeds Etc., mainly horticulture stuff but also a good bit of aquarium products. The Tek 8 lamp T5 setup with Gieseman bulbs is a hair under $500 shipped. Anyone knowing of a better deal, let me know
-
I plan on getting a Tek T5 8 bulb set up but wasn't sure what combination of bulbs to get. I like a 'bright' (10K XM) look more than a bluer (14K) look. I found a great 'bulbs included' price with horticulture bulbs but offering the following upgrades.
D-D Giesemann Midday: $6.00 per lamp
D-D Giesemann Aquablue: $8.00 per lamp
D-D Giesemann Pure Actinic Plus or True Actinic $10.00 per lamp
D Giesemann Blue Actinic Plus or Blue: $6.00 per lamp
If anyone with T5's has any imput on what combo they have used or seen for an 8 lamp set up I would love to hear from you.
thanks

I've always wanted a purple but have been scared off by the reports of their aggressiveness. I will be setting up a 90g in a month or two and am working on a fish wish list (say that 3 times fast). Other thoughts were -powder blue (90 too small?) or Tomini? Anyway, any tang input would be appreciated.

I'm still stumped. What I just noticed is that the polyps are extended at night but retract with any light. I checked and I don't have an appreciable pH swing (I run the refugium light at night) I don't have any leathers in the tank but I do have a couple huge pompom xenia that have really taken off. Does iodine (depletion) affect acro's??? Thanks for the reply's. The tank itself has only been up about 4 months.

About 2 days ago I notice all the polyps on my acro's and milli's were completely retracted. I have yet been unable to discover what changed. Temp, s.p. and nitrates are fine. All montipora's still look good and fully extended if that helps in the diagnosis. HELP! Any idea's on possible causes/remedies would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Glad he/she is doing better. Now I can't get the "Mikey from Life Cereal died from eating Pop Rocks and Pepsi" urban myth out of my mind :D ....

I was about to feed the tank some of the Vita Diet from the meeting when I noticed one of the ingredients is copper proteinate. Is that a problem?Just wanted to make sure.

That sounds great Lee! I'll bring the male to the meeting. I'm not sure what Jamie's baby fish situation is at moment. Last I heard they were all still spawning like clockwork, but he wasn't harvesting the fish as he is still doing some major renovations.
thanks

I have 2 two year old banggai's that are both male. I know its a long shot but I'm looking for someone with a female or one that might be a female (it's quite hard to tell) that is willing to sell or trade.

Pseudochromis has a new home. Thanks. Rik, I should have said 'potential' onyx. They are from a guy in California I found on RC. He sells full onyx for $45 (great deal!) but is sold out. He sells potential onyx for $30 and 'heavy black' for $25. Mine are 11 months old, black between the front stripes and he says still may go full black. Either way, a handsome fish.

I have a striped pseudochromis free to a good home (frag donation would be accepted). He is a model citizen if housed with fish larger than him but will bully small fish. I know they have a reputation for bothering shrimp but this one has cleaner shrimp and peppermint shrimp tankmates with no problem. Would like to find him ahome at the meeting as 2 (small) onyx percs are moving in as soon as he is gone

I hear they are good with wasabi and a slice of ginger.
-
Mine seems extremely hardy, out on a tonga branch to keep the sweeper 'tentacles' from inflicting damage on his tankmates.

It's time to replace the 65w pc's on my 55.Is there a 'better' brand to go with? Does anyone have good/bad experience with some of the knockoffs that are all over ebay?
Thanks for the input.

acrylic help

I snapped the top of an old Euroreef skimmer and live in an area where acrylic glues/solvents aren't locally available. Before I place an online I wanted to make sure I order the right thing. Someone suggested weld-on #4 followed by #16. Any input on what product to get and what site to get it from would be greatly appreciated.
