Regular cyano disappears after a couple days of ChemiClean, but not this stuff. No other signs of funky. Seems to REALLY like the white egg crate. I guess I’ll do a large water change.

Maybe, but not removed by ChemiClean and grows in strings.

Thoughts on this growth? Spider web looking stuff that grows crazy fast.
Thank you.

Okay... so I'm going to run chemipure again, NOPOX dose, Siphon everything off, do a lights out period for as long as I possibly can without killing my corals, and do a large water change.
How long can I keep the lights out?
If you bring that clown over, in sending ya home with chemiclean. It’ll be gone in two days.

Still shy, and alone, but the color is nice.

Another recommendation for ChemiClean. Worked perfectly and had zero side effects.

This light?

Stated ambient operating temp is 86 degrees, and there are two fans. If you're near Montgomery County, and have alternate lighting available, I'd be happy to look at it.

If Seth has a zoa available, I say go for it!

The fresh Spec III, even with seasoned media, is enjoying a sweet diatom bloom.

Here is a short vid of my system, testing, lighting, etc. I zoom in on the Fangbanger. I will try and post a single pic of that lonely polyp later today..
Wow!!!

PupChow...would you pick ReefRoids over the others, or in conjunction with? I have Chili and Frenzy, but no Roids.
Thanks.

It's ok. Don't worry. I claim sabotage last night by telegraham as the glue didn't hold
I had to fish for it and glue it back on the plug. It started opening back up, so now we all have one polyp.

Being all rough with your poor zoa! It sat on your desk all day nice and safe in a Mari/Fish of Hex sample jar.

Wow! Hacks! haha... I am going to start daily polyp-lab broadcast feeding in my tank just to catch up :P
Whatever it takes!
Perfect response! :-)

Am I seeing it wrong in the other thread?
You're seeing it right. There's a baby.

Hi, all. I'm running a Fluval Spec III with a Kessil A80. The tank was my quarantine system until yesterday. I use the water from my 45 gallon display to fill this and the 10 gallon/OceanRevive setup behind. I will perform 50% water changes in the Fluval weekly (maybe). In the Fluval lives some seasoned Marine Pure balls and carbon/filter pads. In the display (again the water source), I dose kalk separately from RODI ATO, NOPOX somewhat daily, some KZ products (bak and food), and the Red Sea Coral Colors line. I'll use Red Sea Reef Energy occasionally.
I'm here to learn and have some fun. Let's go!
Thanks for setting this up, Mari!

Was it a beep or was it the inverter whining? Another question...when the UPS was had the constant tone, was it generating power? An overloaded UPS can whine constantly. Normally, they won't be providing AC at the time.
I have several UPS units in my house that allow the beeping to be disable via software. Check that, and use fresh batteries. Confirm with a Kill A Watt outlet that you're not exceeding the output power of the UPS. Lastly, use fresh batteries. Fresh (less than two years) gel lead acid may be a better choice for indoor use.
