  1. Take it from somebody who kept putting anemones in their tank way too early when starting out. Give it some time. Get the corals looking good and steadily growing first. Anemones can be finicky, even in established tanks.

When you do decide you're ready for a nem, I have found that bubble tips are the easiest to keep for me. I had a few condys and they ended up eating fish or just going haywire and dying out. I've never had luck with them. I've had 2 RBTAs in my tank for about 6 months now and they are looking great and split frequently. It's all about stability for them.

  2. Found a tank last minute and my usual help happens to be out of town when it needs to be moved. I think we have enough hands on the loading side, but if anybody is willing to help move a 200 deep dimension tank about 200 feet into the first floor of a townhouse (No stairs) I would forever be indebted to you. Have a dolly, furniture pads, and all that fun stuff.

Looking at tomorrow afternooon, guessing around 2-3ish depending on traffic back from Richmond.

I don't expect a lot of response, who wants to move a tank, right? But any responses are HIGHLY appreciated. TIA!

  3. I will probably go to about 65-75% as I only really have LPS and soft corals, no SPS. Starting low is definitely key with new lighting. Try turning them down and slowly ramping them over the next couple months, they should adjust to the new lights :)

  4. I have lights very similar and I started them off at around 5% and ramp them up about 5% every week or so. The corals may be having a hard time adjusting to the new lights. Did you start them off low or on full intensity?

  5. I'm thinking about switching. I see some really good reviews and after reading about their reef care program  it seems like it is a solid product, but has anybody used it? Does it really make that much of a difference in coral growth and color?

  6. Somebody gave me a 29 gallon biocube recently and I hadn't decided what I want to do with it, but was thinking about possibly tying it into my 75 as a display refugium. The 75 isn't drilled, so that may break this project, but wondering if anybody had some ideas on how this could be done? Totally in idea stages right now, so no solid plans as of yet.

I know most people are totally against HOB overflows, but was thinking that would be how I tied it into the display? Any ideas are welcome.
