During my initial research before I started my build I read, and read, and read some more. The biggest things I got out of that was 2 glaring points. 1. The larger the water column the larger the room for error. Yeah well I said screw that because I like challenges. 2. The only thing that happens fast in this hobby is blowing money and mistakes. Thanks all. So far so good. And this hobby has likened itself to crack for me. I'm hooked. Lol. I'll def be attending MACNA next year. Once I get enough time and knowledge under my belt this will be a mixed reef. Aesthetically I'm not a big fan of sticks, but the challenge of a few acros is what I'm after, along w/ the easier on the eye IMO of LPS and softies.
