  1. I just spoke to Rick at 8:50 PM on Monday March 26th and he did an inventory while on the phone with me. He has Reef Frenzy, Herbivore, Chunky and Nano in his freezer. He also placed another order to restock since he was out of Fish Frenzy. Sorry for the confusion but he is very supportive of LRS and continues to offer it for his customers.

i looked in his freezer and would have bought it. I was there Saturday and would have bought it. Then again a phone call is always better then first hand experience.

  2. I bet Fintastic has it. He typically has a big selection of frozen including LRS, Roggers, Rods and was even stocking live pods and phyto in a dispenser last time I went.

Rick's Fish and Pet probably has it too, but I haven't been there before.

Fintastic seems to be only lrs

Rics had lrs but yesterday had none and sounded like he wasn’t getting more.

  3. Bubble algae is out of control It was in my overflows and now made it to the display. Been all over the boards and seems this stuff works but has some consequences. Rather hear local opinions on the matter. Thanks.

  4. Would a calcium reactor be benificia on my 70 gallon? I have a 2 part but haven't dosed as I don't even have dosing pumps and don't know how to use them

I cant answer that. What i can say is that keeping track of the 3 majors and finding out what your tank is using is important. Then i would manually dose to understand what your adding. Then from their make your decision knowing your system.
  5. Recently I discovered that the asterinas in my tank are getting much bigger than in the past. Suspected reason? The MACNA freebie bottle of ESV phytoplankton. I also now have an increasing population of limpits when I had only a stray one or two I rarely saw, a population burst of micro brittle stars (which already numbered in infinity) which are also growing larger, way more pods, and alas, cyano and algae growth because I didn't allow in advance for the added organic matter which I now have to correct. If you want bigger, nastier, more destructive asterinas, just feed phytoplankton every day.

Thats funny. Started feeding dt's phytoplankton every other day.
  6. I made an order and something went wrong. I dont want to go into details about that. I emailed customer service and within ten minutes everything was taken care of. I will be making another order with them soon. Best experience i could have. This was my third order and the other two were perfect.

  7. I bought a 180rr tank. Cant be happier. Im overwhelmed with what sump to get. I like the clean look of the manufactured sumps. What size do i need (how many gallons will i need to make sure that water doesnt end up on the ground)?

The idea i have is to take up a third of the stand with a fuge. Then the other with pumps and a chiller.

    What has worked for others?
