Well I want to start off with fish only and live rock with a few softies just to see how it goes. I probably wont be doing any sps's for a while The type of fish I plan on having are: Variety of tang large clownfish Koran angelfish Queen angelfish Picasso trigggerfish (maybe) Also to Roscoe reef- my tank is drilled so I shouldnt need overflows right?

I am now a paid member....but I still need help on which products would suit me the best

Hi Guys, I had a custom 150 gallon acrylic tank made for me a while back and it is just sitting in my basement waiting to get up and going. My problem is I dont know what the best equipment is that I should buy for my tank. Help me out guys and point me towards the best quality items. I need: Lighting Pumps Protein skimmer Sump And whatever else you guys think is very important If at all possible I want to keep it under a $1,000 Tank 66x30x18 I post a pic of the aquarium later this afternoon

Thanks Adam, I havent forgot about the pictures I will send them And I am going to get started on her tank in a few weeks once I come pick up mine and get it situated in my basement.

its currently in a 40 gallon breder tank with live rock and fish (clown, few damsels and a few chromsis) and a hatian reef aneome that is doing just fine

It attaches to the rock for a little bit but every morning it has fallen over and floated off

I thought it was the calmest section in the tank. Like I said it worked out for a couple of days....but now I have to repostion it everday. I feel bad for the little thing

I actually tried that...it worked for a couple of days then all of sudden he was floatining everywhere again

I just recently got a small bubble tip anenome, and for the life of me I cant position it where it dosent get pushed around the whole tank by the water flow. I think it is starting to stress it out. Any helpful advice?

Hey jeff when you you snap off do you literally mean weld some scrap pieces to gether then snap them apart?

First off, Thanks to everyone that came and posted and gave me advice I really apreciate it. I am actually having Adam at Artfullyacrylic build this tank so I dont mess it up and I will be doing a couple of smaller tanks to practice on. I actually watched Adam this past weekend and relized I was about to bite off more than I could chew for a first project. But he gave me a lot of helpful tools and advice for the future. I am going to post some pics of the work later and when its all done I will post more.

Hi, Guys I am going to build a custom aquarium and I have a few questions. 1. Does anyone know where I can buy acrylic from in the DMV area? 2. Do you guys think I can get by with just 1/2 inch acrylic with these dimensions 20x66x26 (HxLxW) 3. If anyone is willing to give me some personal advice so I dont mess this up I would greatly apprceiate it. Just let me know and we can talk over email
