  1. I look at all these tanks and think of so many things that I want to change about mine....  Then I look at mine and see the problems in the other ones......  Nobody has a perfect tank, but the thing is we are all striving for perfection, or at least balance.

    I'll work towards your tanks, you work towards hers, he'll copy mine, we'll all copy that other person,  and hopefully at the end of the day we will find something that will keep our minds occupied, our wallets full, and our creativity alive.  Keep up the pics and the dispersion of ideas!!!

  2. Well, it's hard to build a customer base when the owner treats his customers like $h1t.  I stopped going there when Steve Velasco left.  They still owe me money.

    good riddance..

    +1 on this.  I used to stop by there 2x a week (thursdays and fridays) and even tried to give him business in the high priced frozen food market segment.  I stopped going when he repeatedly told me that he had something on order for me and it never showed up.  His lack of attention  to his client base, coupled with the fact that he doesn't know a good customer when he sees one has certainly led to his demise.  I honestly can't really say that I'm sorry except to ensure that we have a competitive marketplace.

  3. Power off the all aspects of the unit i.e. head unit, all pc4s, Net module, whatever you have.  Power off for at least a full minute and then power on the first PC4 that the head unit is plugged into.  Then power on each PC4 down the line, you may have a bad module somewhere and this will help you find it.

  4. Right now my total system volume is 375+/- and I'm running an AquaEuro USA internal skimmer.  To actually fit in my sump, I can only run 2 out of 3 needlewheel pumps and I am injecting ozone (88-92mg).  My bioload is relatively small as my display is a 250DD and I only have about 20-24 inches of fish.  Basically three medium tangs and a spattering of anthias, peppermint shrimp, and a coral beauty.  Corals are placed wherever there is open space and there isn't much left.  Frag tank is currently empty with the exception of a few corals.

  5. Hello all;

    I'm thinking about upgrading my skimmer in the near future and was wondering what everyone was running on their tanks and systems that are 350+ gallons.  If you are running multiple skimmers on a system, I would ask that you refrain from posting as I am only concerned with single skimmer setups.

    Specs that would helpful if included in post are:  1-Size of tank/system.  2- Bioload guesstimate.  3- Running ozone?  4- Type of skimmer and pump(s).  5- Internal or External skimmer.

    Thanks in advance!  I'm looking forward to hearing about what everyone has!

  6. Just a question, but why not have a separate feed pump and drain system for the "X" tank?  In my setup I basically have two totally separate tanks utilizing the same sump.  In the setup you've created in the second pic, you would be bleeding off gph from your display tank which could adversely affect your DT i.e. flow/head pressure.  Now I personally haven't seen your tank so I'm not sure what physical constraints you have, but that's my two cents.  Looking forward to how it turns out!
