  1. Didnt you just have a case of ammonia poisoning.? Why dont you hold off on fish, and work on getting your tank stable, so you dont kill more innocent fish. Just because there "just fish" doesnt mean you shouldnt be more responsible as a pet owner. If your switching tanks around and moving things your adding even more stress to the livestock, so adding a bunch of new large fish is probably a bad idea..

i think u are right.. that's im going shop last time.. for my 120 gallons.. 3 fish dead.. so i need some new fish to fill up my tank.. i dont want to see my tank only 1-2 fish in there.. that is NOt right. blush.gif

  2. You're going to put a 7" Naso in a 120? it will have to swim in a circle to keep from hitting each side!!

haha.. its okay.. they will get use to for it.. haha.. ha biggrin.gif

i think my tank will handle it.. with 48x24.. that should be good for em

  3. I think it is a fair deal, but that is a lot of large fish to add all at once. Maybe ask them if you can bring them home at different times so as not to overload the tanks biological filter.

okay.. thanks.. i will tell them that..

  4. Yes, it's a large cone skimmer, rated (for what these figures are worth) at 700 gallons lightly stocked and 400 gallons heavily stocked. It is equipped with 2 Sicce PSK-2500 pumps. I've upgraded the pinwheels from the stock MSX pinwheels to Warner Marine Red Devils. Both were acceptable, but I was having trouble with pump startup using the MSX pinwheels and heard that the Red Devils might fix that (it didn't do so entirely).

The body of the skimmer is manufactured in China, I believe. The two pumps hang off the side of the skimmer and, when the skimmer is empty, the skimmer is unbalanced and tends to tip. Not an issue so much as it's an annoyance.

General construction is good. Materials are good. Fit and finish are good. Setup and operation are straightforward. It performs well.

It's much larger than the model about which you've posted your question. It is a different design and uses a different pump. Neither the balance nor the pump startup issues that I experience are relevant to the 150. (That's why I didn't go into this detail in my earlier post.) I wouldn't use my description, therefore, of the 250 2S to set anything but the most general of expectations regarding the 150.

So Do u guys think this is good deal for it.. if it does.. i will order it for my 120 gallons..

  7. I would try a ev180 or the next size up AQUAc skimmer. For the amount of skimming they do they have a very small footprint. Also they are downdraft skimmers so you dont need to buy a mesn or needle impeller. I have used several AquaC skimmerrs and love them. I am now using a euroreef and it is a very nice machine, in my cube i am using a ETSS sumpbuddy. IT ROCKS. My next skimmer however will be an avast, just waiting for them to get the pump mounted in the bottom of the housing.
