I've had a 40 gallon breeder set up more or less continuously as a reef tank since 2000. Well mostly continuously, several stints as mostly FOWLR after friends have tank-sat. Started with about 20lbs LR and 30lbs LS, a CPR Backpack 2R and 2 96watt PC's. Gradually added another 25lbs LR.

Both PC ballasts died within 6 months. Switched lighting to 3x PAR38 by Evilc66 (12000K with 40 degree optics), more likely to come. Latest toy Bubble Magus BM-TO1 Doser & Ecotech Marine MP-10w ES
