  1. I have an overflow box, that usually does a good job at keeping the surface clean. I just recently switched from power compacts to metal halides, which I think has caused an increase in algae/cyan growth. I have shortened my lighting period, but I don't think the protein skimmer can keep up anymore and I'm really not sure which brand would be good to buy.
  2. I have a 75 gallon tank (100g total) with a Seaclone 100 skimmer in the sump. The skimmer works in the sense that it pulls stuff out of the water, but there is still a bunch of organic material that forms on the surface of my water eventhough it is rated for 100 gallons. I'm wondering if a better skimmer in my sump would get rid of the film and the red slime algae that is growing in my tank. Does anyone have a reccomendation for a 100 gallon system?   3. I'm in the process of upgrading from power compacts to metal halides on my 75g. I have two 250w retro-fit kits, but I don't have any VHO or T5 actinic bulbs. Do I need the VHO or T5s if I use 20000k metal halide bulbs? Please feel free to give any useful advice.
