  1. I cant seem to access the members area as of a few day ago, can a moderator look into this please? thanks Aquage.
  2. here is my DIY stand a 60G sits on top, and a 20G "long underneath, the painted acrylic with flames is held on by magnets, I made the stand tall as I am a tall person and don't like to crouch over just to see my little Reef. hope this sparks your imagination. Save your self some time and pre measure, I had home depot cut each piece even since they don't do precision cuts, then I used the left overs for support on the bottom and where the tank sits.
  3. yup, I made the stand, easy really, think all finished ran me $70 bucks to make.
  4. the Clarks are nasty to all other clowns, but don't kill each other.
  5. Clarks "aka" the twins are very nasty to new comers. but have doubled in size in 5 months. From a quarter to a half dollar!
  6. April: Present: Just thought i would throw some pics up. I feel like its actually done! ...........just need some more coral.
  7. the get up 6o gallon glass not drilled 20 gallon glass sump closed loop not drilled Prisim backpack and seaclone in sump. 250W icecap MH 65Wx2 PC's 2xpowerheads Custom overflow "home depot 3'4 pvc" Meet the Neighbors currently 2 clarks clowns 1 mated pair of Oc clowns 1 orange tail damsel hand full of blue leg hermet's, Turbo snails, here, a pic of the tank before I moved in November, I lost all the fish following the move due to most of my water spilling out of its tubs during transportation. As you can see the tank was bare with the exception of the 2 clowns 1 hippo and jawfish. I will post pics of the tank as it is now when they become available. I think I may want to sell or trade my Icecap for a t5 fixture. I'm gonna just keep this a softy tank until I can upgrade to something bigger.
  8. I do water changes bi weekly about 4-5 gallons, my wattage was correct as posted 2x65watt Pc's and 4x18watt t5, thats 202watts. brand new, Coralife is the maker, the t5's have no fans but the pc have 2fans built in the the unit that houses it. I built a rocklift and have a powerhead blowing underneath all of my rocks, about 1-2 inches clearance between the sand and rocks and one powerhead blowing on the rocks. I must be reading or doing something wrong when I test. I will test tonight when I return from work. and post a pic, hopefully that will help you to help me! I really appreciate the warm welcome. I only wish i joined sooner! thanks again
  9. I realized I was reading my calcium test wrong the other day, I thought it was where it should be when in fact my calcium was way low, was at 150 or less. Could that have been the reason for the deaths? I'm now using Kalkwasser in my top off water for evaporation to get it back up....hmmmmmmm
  10. Hey everyone, new guy here and had a question about lighting. 29g "used to be an eclipse with the canopy filtration" everything cycled its been about 4months now, water parameters are where I like them, i pulled all the filtration "pitched the canopy" so the only thing thats filtering is my skimmer and a little mesh baggy i have some carbon in. the tank is 17inches deep, I have 130w pc and 72w t5's I was wondering if thats enough to try SPS? As i am new to the hobby I have killed 4oo$ plus in corals cause i could not keep my hands out of the darn tank, cause i was constantly moving stuff around, I have everything where i want it now and i have duct taped my hands together. I only have 2 Zoa frags that seem to like me, and thats it. So aside from me keeping my hands out of the tank. And my lighting question, any advice would be great! thanks!
