Really good setup, Good job. Can you provide more info on your setup? What type of lighting do you have? Do you have skimmer? How often do you do water changes etc..
  4. What does Carbon remove from reef aquarium? I know it clears water (color) but what other bad/good stuff does it pull out? Also how often does it needs to be changed from the tank (Meaning at what point it get saturated and possibly start releasing stuff back in the tank?)
  5. I have done retro kits in the past and I agree that will give the best value. Challenge is, I have 46G bow front and it might be hard to create enclosed canopy for retro. Were you happy with bulbs that came in with this setup? Did you had any issues at all with this lighting? I am not planning to do any SPS. Trying to keep simple setup
  6. What do you think about this lighting? This will be for 46G Softy/LPS setup. http://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod...mp;pcatid=12772
  7. Sounds very promising. Thanks guys for your replies. Does members post here their equipments/frags for sale? If so what forum is that? Is it restricted for members only?
  8. Being a newbie, Can you provide more info? Is he just a member or own a store? Does he have new or old? How can I contact him?
  9. Just wanted to get your opinion on this skimmer. -> Any cons? -> Does it work the way out of box or need any upgrades or modifications? -> Any bubble issues? -> Any noise issues? -> Any other issues? I am considering this for my 46G Softy/LPS reef setup with medium fish load
  10. Just checked out Deltec MCE300. I think that would be a good choice as well.
  11. Thanks for your recommendations. Seems like remora is a good economical solution. Is noise that bad? Also what pump does it come with? Is that adequate or it needs to be upgraded? I am planning to attend next meeting and become a member
  12. Hello, I am new to WAMAS. I moved from MA (Was member of BRS) and had reef tanks for few years. I am planning 46G reef setup, primarily Softy and LPS. This tank is not drilled and not planning to drill as well. Having full blown setup before, I am trying to keep it simple this time (I know, it's never simple with reef ) Anyway, I am looking for HOB (Hang On Back) skimmer recommendations for my 46G tank. What's your recommendations?
